Lex panics over fears that she has been "goated" (ghosted) by Nanner, who has been missing for three days. Meanwhile, Dr. Poostein lies to a mysterious visitor, Randolpho Vincent, regarding the whereabouts of Albert Kabob's daughter, Stacey, prompting Vincent to demand her release by Friday. After a heated argument over choosing love over a career, an exasperated Dick storms off, leaving the girls to rethink their life choices. Olivia catches Fernando attempting to repair a destroyed stuffed elephant (Nanner). Fernando maintains his innocence in Nanner's murder, claiming he was only avoiding the delirium patients because Gabby asked him out.

A devastated Lex copes with being abandoned by her boyfriend, Nanner, who left behind nothing but a note. While Gabby and Olivia attempt to comfort her and urge her to focus on her acting career, it is revealed in delirium that Nanner actually left her to enter a food-eating competition. Dick’s alter, alter ego, Private Dick, begins his investigation into Nanner’s disappearance. Meanwhile, a high-stakes situation unfolds as Dr. Poostein faces intense pressure from Mr. Vincent regarding "Stacy," who is currently being held in solitary confinement alongside a kidnapped Regina, aka Remy. As the project hits major complications, Carol and Moira debate whether to initiate "Plan C" or shut the entire operation down.

Tensions rise at the facility as Olivia questions the mysterious circumstances surrounding Stacy's sudden departure, though Fernando quickly dismisses her suspicions. Meanwhile, Gabby and Shelly secretly dig up personal intel on Fernando to track down his home address, desperate to uncover why he ghosted Gabby. In a therapy session, Olivia opens up about her relationship struggles. While Dick Sprinkles in consumed by pushing the girls careers, Private Dick is knee-deep in his investigation and begins to interrogate suspects. The episode closes with a cryptic encounter between Olivia and a recently released patient.

Shelly, Gabby, and Lex plot a break-in at Fernie's house after he "ghosted" Gabby. She recounts her origin story, describing a deeply romantic, magical 24-hour date filled with shared meals and instant connections. However, a jarring flashback shifts to the man’s terrifying reality: he has absolutely no idea who she is and is frantically calling the police because a strange woman has been stalking him for an entire day. While Gabby rationalizes his sudden absence as a relocation for work, Lex bluntly delivers a reality check.

Gabby and Lex happen into a CBD store to purchase sunglasses to dodge the paparazzi. Two young girls strike up a conversation with them noticing their pretty dresses. Quickly the children’s father ushers them away noticing they are patients. Moira and Carol get into an argument over their project's funding from Albert Kabob, who allegedly plans to weaponize their "delirium" research to control people the same way he controls the weather. Later, Lex and Gabby successfully break into Fernie's house. Upon running into his roommate, Luke, the duo quickly concocts a scheme to distract him so they can secretly search the house for clues.

Lex convinces Luke to do some day drinking while Gabby “searches” Fernando’s room. Fernando gets a notification of an unexpected visitor in his house while being “interrogated” by private Dick. Fernando convinces Stan to cover his shift. Fernando returns home to break up an uninvited house party thrown by Lex, Gabby and “Luke”. While driving Gabby home, she and Lex aggressively grill Fernando on the real reason he ghosted her. He explains that they are simply incompatible, which leads a confused Gabby to mistakenly conclude that he is gay. Finally, an unexpected visitor arrives in Lex and Gabby’s dressing room for a long-awaited callback.

Olivia teams up with Fernando to break into Dr. Poostein’s office and gather evidence of the doctor's shady operations, utilizing a computer password provided by Shelly. Inside, they discover that Dr. Poostein was the one who "killed" Nanner. Meanwhile, Jamie Lee persistently campaigns to join the team and successfully installs herself as their official entourage. Later, Olivia confronts Remy about a hidden, dangerous file connecting her to Albert Kabob. Finally, Dick arrives with massive news, announcing he has secured leading movie roles for both Lex and Gabby.

Carol and Moira bicker over their failed plans and plot to falsify their research data before Mr. Kabob returns. At the facility, Private Dick officially launches an investigation into who killed Nanner. Fernando treats Mrs. Maddelson to a foot bath. Lex, Gabby, and Jamie Lee visit Marvin’s magic lair to "disappear" and go party. They happen upon a distinguished man who agrees to take them out for a night on the town. Chaos erupts when the hospital staff realizes the delirium patients have vanished, sparking a frantic search.

Olivia and Fernando enlist some help to break into Dr. Poostein’s office and computer to determine how Gabby and Lex managed to escape from the hospital. Clyde brings the group to his favorite bar, "The Salty Fish" for tequila shots and dancing before having to the leave the group for an “early day at work”. He and Gabby share a romantic goodbye. Olivia and Fernando happen upon all of the spots Lex and Gabby have visited including the CBD shop. They trip over Clyde who is an unhoused person, he tells the story of taking them out on the town in his “ride”, even admitting to kissing Gabby. Disgusted by Clyde's story, the search party presses on as the escaped duo heads toward their next destination.

The season finale.Olivia and Fernando trace the escaped patients through local bars. They learn that Lex used cash stolen from Fernando to buy drinks and tip generously. The search group eventually locates the patients partying at the Standard Flag bar, but decides to join the fun and stay out, knowing Dr. Poostein does not return until tomorrow. Meanwhile, a parallel investigation unfolds with Dr. Poostein and Carol who return to a completely ransacked office. Private Dick returns to his office after learning of Lex and Gabby’s disappearance leaving him with a brand-new case to crack. We finally meet the infamous Albert Kabob after his wife Renee hands him a special delivery.
